Yep, Deportivo stay up as a result. They'd already won the league so can't really blame them though.

Another disgrace was the Granada-Atletico game. A draw meant Granada would stay up and Atletico would get an automatic CL spot. The match finished 0-0 with only 1 shot on target all match, 5 shots in total.

Eibar won 3-0 but go down. Would have been a great story if they stayed up but they just missed out because Barca didn't try.

48 in the league but he won't break Messi's record of 50 as he's just been replaced by 16 year old Martin Odegaard who is now the youngest player to ever play for Real Madrid in La Liga.

Ronaldo tweeting about Ancelotti: "Great coach and amazing person. Hope we work together next season."

Not sure Perez is going to like that...

Ancelotti sacked. New manager will be announced next week. Has to speak Spanish so it's almost certainly Rafa.

Barca win the Copa Del Rey 3-1. So whoever wins the CL final completes a treble.

Apparently a recent fan poll concluded that 6% of Real Madrid fans considered him suitable for the role..... the top person Real Madrid fans wanted was....

Carlo Anchelloti :point

Seems all the players wanted him to stay as well

Doesn't seem to matter who is in charge at Real.

The engine drives itself.

Elche, who finished 13th, are relegated due to financial troubles. Eibar stay up.

Barca have signed Aleix Vidal (he can't play until January due to their transfer ban). He can play right back so looks like Dani Alves is leaving. AC Milan seem favourites.

Alves was leaving anyway as his contract was up, he's also said, he's had a few offers from italian sides, and he does want to move to italy
