It will end in court, as the Premier League and other big European leagues wont let this lie

Ironically it might give the England team their best chance of doing something. Anyway they won't have the excuse of being tired after a long and arduous premier league season to fall back on. Mind you I'm not sure that will offset 'being crap' enough.

it really depends how they handle it

there might end up having to be a shorter break between the end of the previous season and the start of the 2022/23 season to allow the season to start earlier , so players might actually not really benefit as they will have kinda played 1 and 1/2 seasons with a shortened break in the lead up, and might also be more midweek games between the start of the season and the world cup break

I cant see anyone agreeing to reduce the amount of games so something has to give to find the 6 weeks in the middle of the season

I reckon they'll be shagged out from having to play 3 games a week for 2 months to make room in the PL schedule

anyway it won't matter. no matter what anybody says no-one has the stones to stand up for anything, no-one will stick their head above the parapet, and nothing will give England a chance of doing anything in the tournament anyway.

Apart from anything else, all the world will see is England complaining because they didn't win the bid.... it'll all look like sour grapes....... like the French saying that London 2012 was the worst games ever

And don't pin hopes on Platini. He is only ever interested in stuff that shafts England, and English clubs.

he has a sign on his desk that says "please don't speak English when asking for something, as a refusal often offends"

We went about this all wrong.

We should have said what a great idea it was.

Then UEFA & FIFA would have done the opposite.

I also wonder if the other bids can sue due to the change in dates. See if they can get back the money they spent on the bids

It's farcical and corrupt, but come kickoff we will all be glued to our tellies once again hoping our team will win the World Cup.

It really is up to the fan to boycott the tournament but it'll be a month of Sundays before that happens.

It will be interesting to see how our domestic season will be played that year.

All very well taking a month out but that will mean the FA Cup Final could be in July. With the Community Shield being played the next week of the new season.

I'm guessing there will be a lot of midweek fixtures that season.

Which will piss off the clubs no end, because the markets in Asia for TV actually centre around the earlier games at the weekend.... 4pm kick offs on Sunday and midweek games are too late
