whole thing is a farce

bending over backwards and causing all this disruption to hold a tournament in a country it should never have been given to in the first place

I'd love to see a unites stand but it's not gonna happen.

Blatter says "kiss my arse" and they can't get there quick enough.

Didn't think FIFA could sink much lower in my estimation, but they seemed to have found a hole in the bottom of that barrel.

If UEFA were able to do a deal with the major TV companies over a breakaway group there isn't anything FIFA could do about it.

I guess all the European Clubs are obliged to release all their best players to this tournament or can they challenge FIFA's authority and refuse?

wouldn't be surprised to see the G14 clubs support a legal challenge by Australia over the validity of the Qatar bid

What have the USA said in all of this? After all it was them who lost out in the final round.

All the bids centred around a tournament in Jul/Aug. Surely the Qatar bid falls down because it cannot fulfil the original remit.

ok but the clubs still exist and this will be something I would imagine they would all be of a similar opinion on

Maybe playing "The World Cup" on a guitar might have generated more interest Mark. :)
