Both were clearly fixed, I don't think anyone watching those at the time thought otherwise. Lightening can strike, but with the same team benefitting, and in back to back matches, sorry but too dodgy that.
The Spain match is the one where Hierro(?) scored the free kick which was ruled out for the reason that it hit a South Korean player on the head on the way to the goal, and constituted a foul on said player.... in Extra time Morientes also scored a header for a golden goal, only for the referee to disallow it because Joquain had stepped out of bounds before crossing it....even though he was miles away from the line.
The whole match was full of fouls and offsides against Spain that were never close.
At the time, everyone (and Italy) were convinced in foul play.....
