We almost scored from a free kick there. Our first shot at goal.

Charlton away to Palace next round. Tasty!

Two other local derbies too - Spurs v Arsenal, Villa v Birmingham.

They definitely do. Millwall is the main derby but there's still a fairly big rivalry with Charlton.

Hartlepool can concentrate on the league now, Aidan :thumb

Not quite the League Cup, but Hartlepool United are 200/1 to win the Johnstone Paints Trophy with Bet365. I think that is generous odds even with League One heavyweights Barnsley, Bradford, Sheffield United and Wigan occupying the North Group. More often than not the "bigger clubs" exit early doors and a less fashionable club tends to progress, why not Hartlepool under a resurgent Ronnie Moore?

We have Sheff U first up so I reckon that is where our interest ends.

Too little too late.

The rumours coming out of Sunderland are that there is no harmony or desire from the players.

Whoever is in charge come January needs to have a major turnover in the transfer market.

And now Newcastle knocked out at home by lower league opposition.

Liverpool being held at home by Carlisle. Rumours are that if they lose tonight Rodgers will be sacked.

Carlisle have taken it to extra time.

Rogers is probably gone anyway. Ancelotti or Klopp likely to replace him.
