The cream will, well should get to the top. Portugal have overcome good Croatia and Poland sides, and a Welsh team who had just beaten Belgium. Nobody has beaten them.........yet!

Yeah but, they couldn't even beat Iceland. We all know that anybody who is anybody will dismiss Iceland in a trice.


In all seriousness though, they should not have progressed past the group stages. Very lucky.

I said on my predictions that Germany would not win and be a semi final team... and France would do it.

Germany could have easily won that game last night, but the French had the crowd, the referee and the rub of the green on their side.

I'd prefer to see Portugal win, but only because I like seeing the disappointed faces in the crowd. Most of them will be part time football supporters in any case.

You have to factor in the home thing. This is why France were always big favourites......

I must admit when I saw Martin Atkinson get Wales v NI, I thought it was only England that would bar Clattenburg, but as you say, derbies are an exception to the rule.
