Starting a new thread with the shock news of Phil Parkinson (and his management team) leaving Bradford to join Bolton Wanderers, though neither club has officially confirmed this at present. A press conference is to he held tomorrow morning :fit :(

Here's hoping this will be the scene at the Reebok Stadium come 10.30am

Forest are in the process of being sold to the Olympiakus owner Evangelos Marinakis. Though no one has a clue what is going on. Also not sure how he will pass he fit and proper test when he has been linked with match fixing, money laundering, drug trafficking and a few other things.

Whilst this is happening we have no manager, released 4 players of which 2 should have stayed, and the take over has no end in sight. Exactly where we were when Fawaz took over 4 years ago, we just seem in a cycle of stuffing everything up.

Phil Parkinson has completed his move to Bolton Wanderers on a two year deal - along with assistant manager Steve Parkin, goalkeeper coach Lee Butler, fitness coach Nick Allamby and Chief Scout Tim Breacker.

Can't say i'm amused with Bolton Wanderers going public before contracts were formally signed. It's just a huge blow to lose a manager who has been a positive influence at the club and created a feelgood factor in his presence, even if sometimes the football was attritional to watch. Five years ago non league football was not out of the question, now Bradford are back to the natural level but with a fanbase not seen since the Premier League years (even if it's supplemented by £149 season tickets and two cup runs).

Even though Bolton Wanderers have their financial difficulties, it is an attractive managerial position mostly with a bigger infrastucture in place (top class stadium, training facilities and youth setup). In comparison Bradford's training ground got flooded last season and the Valley Parade pitch got churned up the season before, which probably was the difference between Championship and League One Football.

A premature end to a wonderful era, but Phil Parkinson (along with previous owners Julian Rhodes and Mark Lawn) have left Bradford City in good health and that is something many a supporter will be grateful for.

Newcastle have already spent 30 mil this year on trying to regain their premiership status.

But they have made 50 mil on selling on players that got them relegated last season. The championship is going to become a lot more uneven with parachute payments for team relegated from the premier league.

It's amazing how much there is a financial gulf in the Championship:
Relegated Premier League clubs with parachute payments
Recently relegated Premier League clubs with parachute payments
Ex Premier League Clubs
Promoted or recently promoted League One Clubs

But still it's going to be the most exciting Championship campaign since 1992 and might even outshine the Premier League in terms of entertainment. Burton Albion v Newcastle United, you would never think in a million years this would be a 2nd tier league fixture.

Our ground has just been rebranded as the Northern Gas and Power Stadium.

Bit of a mouthful and, I suppose, a bit s**t really but it's money going into the club.

Northern Powerhouse for short ;)

Bradford's ground has been officially renamed as the Northern Commercials Stadium at Valley Parade.

Go to the bottom of the championship.... do not pass Go, but do collect £80,000

well done boys, enjoy the weekend off

I caught some of the first half, take it you are partly referring to the Fulham defender stopping the Ritchie cross.

Definite penalty, not sure what the referee was seeing there.

There was another in the second half that was pretty clear. We played poorly but with a half decent ref we come away from the game with at least a point, possibly 3. Still plenty of games to go!

Got a Newcastle mate who was telling me that an unbeaten season was a possibility. Guess that's not going to happen then.

A local derby for Forest today with Burton coming to the City Ground. Huge achievement for Burton to make it to the championship.

Am expecting Nigel to get a better welcome than when he managed Derby :rasta

Personally think mid table is the best we can do, and Burton will be struggling to stay up. At least there are no expectations this year around Forest.

Getting Pajtim Kosami on loan seems like a great bit of business, as does getting the Finish international Lam in on a free. Will be interesting to see if Apostolos Vellios can offer much though do not hold out much hope. Still young but previously did not seem to like English Football too much. A strange buy as well as we have a few big strikers already. Our soon to be new owner pulling the strings for all these signings.

Hopefully a win for Forest, but its never that easy.

Your ground is fit for play then, Yuppie? I heard it wasn't up to health and safety standards.

20% less capacity. The way Forest is run is way beyond a joke. Scary and sad

2-2 half time, crazy on the pitch as well it seems
