Our first win since the Burke sale. Keeps us a little safer for a while.

And to top it all off it appears we are very close to a new American owner......

John Moores used to own the Padres baseball team in San Deigo and has previously tried to buy Everton and Swansea. Cant be worse than Fawaz. Americans have a good record of owning football clubs right?

Obviously the previous guy who was going to buy the club is now up on max fixing charges, drugs importing charges, corruption charges, so this potential owner seems to good to be true.

Away to Blackburn tonight.

Blackburn look a real chance to be the first premier league champions to play division 2 football. Some big clubs have fallen over the last 15 years, but Blackburn with out any parachute payments this season look like they could fall as far as Coventry and Portsmouth.

Already for this season their average attendances are 3000 down on last season.

The Venkys don't seem to want to sell, im not sure this will have a happy ending in the coming years.......

Very good win for Brighton. Sitting pretty at the moment, which is inevitably going to lead to more frustration when our midseason traditional capitulation occurs, and then as is usual, we will play like a group of sunday league lads in the playoffs.....

At least Palace arent there to offer the death blow this year....

I mean last year, werent we the last team to lose a game at any level in the football pyramid? And then went 12 games without a win....

It always feels as if Brighton are destined to never get there. But Newcastle aside, this year that 2nd spot will not probably get any easier ever. Villa are hopeless, Norwich are caving in goals all over the place..... and the mighty Huddersfield and Bristol are the form teams, they should drop away!

Stuart Pearce was on Talk Sport last night when a Forest supporter phoned up, not an ounce of positivity coming from either side. Pearce thinks that you all need a lot of love, apart from a new owner with a sack load of cash.

Think we actually have some decent players, and i certainly like the way the team has been set up. We were great to watch at the start of the season, and even now we look pretty dangerous going forward. But since Burke was sold with out the knowledge of the manager or director of football, we have gone to pot. More problems are players and staff are not getting paid, people are being sacked and undermined behind the managers back. We don't have a CEO, the owner is a child in mans clothing who just lies continually so people will like him. He also wants what can only be described as one of the most ludicrous buys outs in the history of football.

To top it off, we are still paying Billy Davies wages, and most people linked with buying the club have ran a mile as soon as they speak to Fawaz.

League Two might be a closely fought competition, but 9pts between 6th and 24th place is something else. Morecambe were a team towards the top end, but now find themselves two points above the drop zone.

Even those in the bottom quarter decide to go on a prolonged run and pick up 2pts per game average until the end of this season, they would end up on 74-76pts which is more than enough for a playoff spot.
