Can you believe Blackpool are currently 16th in the fourth tier!

Have they still got the same owner?

You would think that a well run club from the lower leagues would be set up for life with a year or 2 in the top league.

Obviously Blackpool and Cardiff are not well run clubs.

Will we see a similar situation occur with Hull?

Im annoyed that Warnock is no longer advising Derby.

This could be very entertaining.

The EFL (Checkatrade) Trophy continues to court criticism of it's new format.

Luton Town boss Nathan Jones made 11 changes against West Brom U23s, fielding eight U21 players and won 2-0 yet the club faces a fine because Football League Clubs must field six players who started in the previous or successive league match.

Whie MK Dons manager Karl Robinson thinks the competition is "rubbish" as the League One side are limited to fielding a number of development squad players where as Category One Academy Clubs in the competition can field at least six.

Greg Dyke was saying after one of the World Cup failure reports he overseen that U-21 teams from bigger sides should be intergrated into the football league setup, as its better they play.

I guess this is stage one.... next is Man City B playing int he Championship

Apparently it's "part of the EFL's long-term commitment to help the nation produce more and better homegrown players"

Which is utter bobbins, as the EFL Trophy invite is limited to clubs with a Category 1 Academy. Whereas clubs with a history of developing players (Leeds United) are not eligible to play in the competition because of criteria.

U23 Head Coaches claim it's good for the experience, playing in front of crowds in a 1st team environment and to bridge the gap between age group football and senior football. In terms of playing in front of a crowd, there is a noticeable difference of playing in front of 1500 fans for a 3rd rate cup tie and 18000 for a League One game.
