Plus about 9 minutes stoppage time that refs seem to add on when we're winning.

To be honest the whole town expected it to happen.

There's a possibility we'll now go into admin as the current owner was only interested in using the club to line his own pockets.

It will be better for us if we become a phoenix club.

I see that Newcastle have won the championship in the same fashion as Hartlepool exited the football league... courtesy of an 89th goal in the other deciding game

It's absolutely right that Newcastle ended the season as champions... it should have been much easier and by a much bigger margin than it was, but at least they got there in the end

It's right, because the league don't lie after 46 games. Well done to the toon.

But will they still be champions after the point deduction from financial irregularities hits?

Interestingly some seagulls fans hoping Newcastle and west ham both get savaged so there is only one relegation spot to play for

Newcastle won the title in a similar way to Pompey winning div two.

Both Brighton and Doncaster took their respective feet off the gas after securing promotion.

As Sussex says if there is going to be a points deduction for West Ham and Newcastle teams like Brighton and Bournemouth would rather it's effective for next season.

the comforting thing is that these sorts of investigations often take years to complete, so I'm hoping that by the time it is concluded it'll be too late to do much about to the clubs concerned

(If these things are actually happening at Newcastle and West Ham, I'd be amazed if they aren't happening elsewhere.)
