Was it, doesn't really matter, we ain't getting any better any time soon.

It was Southgate, Pardew, Neville, Rodgers, Howe, Wenger.

Wenger isn't a bad shout but I think his best years are behind him.

An interesting outside bet could be Laurent Blanc.

He'd be a good choice. Surprisingly not even in the bookies 30 or so potential replacements.

Bilic would be best IMO but no reason for him to leave West Ham yet.

I'm surprised Stuart Pearce is not even on the shortlist
"Stats are there to be broken" Dominic Cork
"They took all our players away, banned our captain and we still came away with a ten-wicket victory" Jason Gillespie
"You won't get anywhere slouching about half out of bed" Geoffrey Boycott

Even mow I'm still angry about this result.

I just hope the FA don't think Southgate is the answer.

I'm not overly bothered who gets the job, because we aren't going to win anything ever. But if that driveling weedy penalty missing dullard gets the job I'm supporting Scotland.

Joe Hart says "We worked hard but with no success. That is how this team will be remembered."

No, Joe, it will be remembered that it was the team that put out the single worst performance by an England team in tournament football, and made us a laughing stock around the world.

Go back to your Head and Shoulders ads, that's all you're good for, certainly not goalkeeping.

"I would never pay to watch Iceland, but they've got great camaraderie. England will now say we're building a team for Qatar, then we'll be building a team for Timbuktu."

Chris Waddle.

Also seen that Shearer wants it. Or thinks he would be better than anyone else who has done it.

Not that I like the man much, Danny Baker's Twitter rant last night was echoing alot of my sentiments.

Calling Crouch a lanky ponce for his comments, and suggesting the players were putting on the distraught act at the final whistle.

Oh we are getting Glenn Hoddle's reaction now. Next up we'll be hearing from a paving stone in Blackpool.

And at the end of his rant, summing up, we are not rebuilding, we are not a young side......we are no fvcking good.

Superb.
