I'd go for Guss Hiddink. He has familiarity of the Premier League, has coached all over Europe and beyond, and is considered one of the finest managers of his generation. He's the best option who is available, in my opinion.

As for Roy. He did up until last night, get our team playing attacking football but buggered it up when the tournaments came around.

I'd go for Howe.

I'm not sure it's simple though. Of all the English contenders/possibles, Eddie is the one who I think might say no. He has a nice little set up going on at Bournemouth, I don't know if he'd like to walk away from that (again). Also his reputation is not yet set enough in stone to deal with failure as England manager, were that situation to arise. McLaren has never recovered, with no stellar CV to fall back on.

I've never understood why it has to be an English man. Just look at our cricket and rugby teams, and the difference it has made bringing in top coaches regardless of nationality.

Howe may well say no, but he'd be the first person I'd ask.

Did an atrocious job with Netherlands. Couldn't even get them to qualify for the Euro's!

The only name I've heard so far that I would get moderately excited about is Slavan Bilic.

That's like a state of euphoria for you.

You should have seen me when the final whistle went in the 2003 Rugby World Cup final. At least a raised eyebrow and a minor fist pump was going on.

How about "Golden Balls?" He could be a dark horse.

Here's an idea; the FA could merge with Wales, replace the entire squad with the current Welsh team and sign Chris Coleman to a long term deal.

Becks is adored by the majority of people in England. This admiration, and even love by some, would go if he takes the job and fails.

Will you still be saying that when Wales lose 4-0 to Belgium tomorrow night.

Didn't know he was in the mix.

Gareth Southgate doesn't want the job, says it all really.

I saw Glenn Twaddle was right up there with a chance, talk about a terrible step backwards.

Fvck it, who cares who gets the job, it will make absolutely no difference at all. We've tried everything, nothing has worked, nothing ever will.

I don't think Beckham is in with a shout, tbh.

Beckham has zero chance and rightly so.

No previous experience. He makes Southgate look good.
