I'm not very good at this but the poster I'd most like to meet, with due respect to several others, is GarlicJam.

Not too fanciful either, as a few days in Tasmania is a possibility in 2017.

Ok....And now the votes from the Sussex Jury....

1. Funniest...Honourable mentions to Durham, Rich, GJ, Aidan, BN..... but Budget gets the points from me. Some epic rants and moans to give us all a giggle.

2. Controversial.... Mike. Has some very strong opinions on some very controversial topics like race and world politics. Not that this is a criticism. Honorable mention to Shanky and Bhaveshgor.

3. Best Thread..... The EU one, for convincing me that there is some sanity from a lot of posters in a world of madness.

4. Best Poll.... 50 Years of Test Cricket World XI

5. Dont use this thread, leave the comedy to the other people

6. Most intelligent.... Hes economical with his posts, but I know he dropped in a while back to say he still reads the threads, so Delta Alpha. An effortlessly classy and intelligent chap.

7. Best Cricket knowledge... Greyblazer (he still occasionally posts). Puts us all to shame.

8. Most dedicated... Has to be the 40,000 ers... Aidan and Arthur.

9. Most Helpful... the mod team

10. Most interesting poster... Honourable mentions to our Aussie duo Yuppie and GJ. Arthur has in recent times shown a keen eye for the ability to mix opinions with a very readable and enjoyable writing style. Yet Rich wins it this year as his lack of contributions in a while was very noticeable for the boards.

11. Person I would like to meet... As a social experiment, I would like to see if I could spend a night out with Arthur and see if I could ever make him lose his temper (he makes Switzerland at times seem like a war mongering nation) :) . Other than that I think a few beers in a pub would be enjoyable with essentially anyone here.

And the 12 points go to...... Arthur Crabtree for overall poster. His opinions are never dull, ill conceived or untrustworthy.

Plus, in true Eurovision style, he gave me 12, so I have to give him 12 too.... Terry Wogan would be turning in his grave.

Eau de temps indeed. Will keep it open and pop a message on here when it is shut as I will be doing it this week. Good luck CMSers and may the best Footman win. I think that's how it goes.

I voted for one of yours, so you do do some comedy. Clearly the little you do, you do well :thumb

I think BN's new girlfriend has banned him from posting on the internet.

Did we ever find out what happened to the poll two years ago?

Drum roll please...

Funniest poster - garnered a wealth of nominations with special mention going to many of the usual candidates but well done to Budget!

Most controversial poster (#inafriendlyway) - a two way tie between Bhaveshgor and SP! Congrats!

Best Thread - 365's excellent and extremely punctual 'On This Day'. Special mention to Durham threads, EU thread and some of the match threads.

Best Poll - It's the Moustache one! Extremely well deserved in a time of facial austerity.

Best Cricket Headline - this was a three way tie between Aidan's Kim Jong Un, Slipstream's brother swapping and Sussex's simple 'Ben Chokes'.

Most Intelligent User - Well done SP!

Best Cricketing Knowledge - The excellent Adi has won this one!

Most Dedicated User - Well done Aidan! Special mention to AC, DFM, Mike, Bhavesh.

Most Helpful User - A two way tie between AP and DFM - both garnering plaudits for their FL work. :salute

Most Interesting User - Well done Alfie for wrapping this one up!

User Most Want To Meet - Too many nominations to declare an outright winner but a tie between Adi, Ginger, Captaincolly, AC, SP and 'All'.

The Best User Overall Since Last Year - A runaway winner as with the last few years - AC!

See you all next year!

Well done BN. Best presenter award I think, at the very least.

Thanks for the nods.

Though SP is ambiguous. Good job it's not a Mars Bar at stake.

Ambiguity is the new mystery.
