If a dive results in a penalty being incorrectly awarded, and a panel agrees thereafter that it was indeed a dive, then the player gets a two match ban as of this season.

I think it is only for penalties, not 100% certain. And I don't know if the penalty actually needs to be scored. I presume the answer is yes, as I remember thinking that the new rule is very narrow, when I first read about it last season. Something about the dive needing to materially effect the outcome of the match (which, if the penalty is missed, has not happened).
