Newcastle have picked up one point from the last 21 and have Everton on Wed. I have a ticket for this one, but tbh, I'm expecting another loss, the 4th home loss in a row, primarily because Allardyce will get one over on the fans who got him the boot, but also because Rooney always scores spectacular goals against Newcastle, usually involving some ridiculous, dropping over the shoulder, on the turn volley, that flies into the top corner from well outside the box.

from 4th to 16th in 7 matches. I fully expect Newcastle to be firmly ensconced in the bottom 3 by the time the January transfer opens, which is bound to encourage potential buyers to offer more money for the club........... not!

Eeeh.... blimey... Newcastle were dreadful. No wonder they have only managed to fluke 1 point from 24.

3 H time... hopeless, helpless and hapless. When you have no goals in you it's usually not a good idea for your keeper to spill a tame catch, for Rooney to poke in from about an inch out. They might have hit the post twice, but it was obvious to everyone that they were never going to score an equaliser

Tough time to be a Newcastle supporter Durham.

Rooney has now scored the same number of premier leagues goals this season as the man he replaced. Lukaku and Rooney both have 9 goals.

That's about as many as the whole Newcastle team. It felt odd picking Gayle as a lone striker, given that he's about 4'6" tall. He offered no threat whatsoever, then Joselu came on later to give him some support up front and I don't think he even touched the ball. It was an easy day's work for the Everton centre backs.

The Shelvey yellow's looked harsh from the Milburn stand, but having seen the highlights he surely can't have any complaints about either of them.

Newcastle were really hesitant on the ball, there seemed to be no movement ahead of the ball carrier, and apart from Shelvey they just didn't look as though they knew what to do with it. When the goal went in, the players visibly wilted for a few minutes. That's when I knew that the game was done, even though there was more than an hour to go.

Darlow had a shocker, which won't please yuppie much. Aarons improve things mightily when he came on, but that was about the only bright spot in a pretty grim performance.

Almost no crosses or long range shots got past the first defender. Everton, on the other hand, were pretty slick with their passing and regularly turned Newcastle inside out, but lacked an edge in front of goal

Bloody hell, Benteke's scored!

Mind you Schmichael's positioning in the goal was awful, header was dead centre of the goal, and the keeper was well over to the right hand side of his goal for some reason.

Roy Hodgson has done very well at turning around Palaces season.

He has, how many successive defeats at the start of the season was it, 7?

They looked really good today, and it's probably onwards and upwards for them now. Got alot of pacey forward players, so if they've sorted the defence and Benteke has ended his scoring drought, they should be okay.

You can probably start to say the same thing about Moyes at West Ham.

Gundogan makes it 1-0!

De bruyne smashed it in for 2-0.

Sterling makes it 3-0!

Sterling rounds Lloris to make it 4-0.

This has been a bloodbath. Not even close.

Ericsson gets a consolation goal.

Wondering where the Pep bashers are now? Ha ha....

This team is arguably the best I have seen in the Premier League era. No one has come even remotely close to beating them, and half a season has gone.

I was one of those Pep basher last season. But fair play, hes certainly got City playing some amazing football this season. No trophies yet but they have to be odds on favorites for every trophy they go after this year. Premier League title looks certain already with one book maker already paying out.
