Premiership 2017/2018

The beautiful game!

sounds as though Man City are lucky to be 1-0 up. Perhaps if they ventured out of their half once in a while..... pffft!

Pep Guarditatallcosts will be copying Moaninho next by bringing on a couple more defenders to protect his precious one goal lead

no wonder English football is so poor

Aguero for a defender.... knew he would

they were hanging on there at the end. should have been 1-1 or even 2-1 if Gayle hadn't gone for the dive option when through on goal

Man City will be breathing a sigh of relief

better side lost today

Newcastle went 60 mins with 14% possession, and should have been 4-0 down. And pep put a striker on in the 11th minute when kompany went off, leaving two at the back.

Can't agree with the above post, dfm. Although Gayle should have had a pen, and should have scored

I think DFM was being a tad sarcastic!

Gayle through on goal!

Newcastle should have been 2-1 up!

Better side lost!

Newcastle played it the only way they could, hope to be in the game with 10-20 minutes to go and maybe nick a point.

Played it any other way they'd been battered 5-0.

Five English teams in the knockout stages of the Champions League suggest English football isn't poor, maybe still behind Barcelona, but not poor. I guess that may have been sarcasm too!

Zaha wins a penalty. Looks dodgy. Ederson saved it! Justice?

What an end to the Palace v City game.

First Zaha dives to win a penalty, then the penalty is missed, and then Puncheon (a man accused of assault off the pitch) assaults De Bruyne on the pitch as Man C break away. De Bruyne could have a serious injury.

Puncheon and Dann both stretchered off as well after assaulting Man C players as they attempt to break.

Crystal Palace hold Manchester City to a goalless draw!

Manchester City lost both de bruyne and de jesus to injury. Could this hurt their champions league campaign?

Zaha has to get a ban, he perpetually dives for penalties, the cheat.

Hodgson lamenting the loss of two players with apparent long term injuries.

No mention of the fact they came about from two dirty fouls by his players. Just desserts you prat.

Puncheon should have got a red card, disgusting tackle. Hope he's knackered himself because De Bruyne looked badly injured.

Transfer window opens tomorrow!

Initial assessments are medial ligament injury for de Jesus, 2 months out. De Bruyne may be ok, apart from bruising and the like.

impishness rather than sarcasm

you are bang on about the 5-0 scenario. I was responding really to the criticism on the BBC live reporting.... not sure what else Newcastle could do

anyway.... teams parking the bus in front of Man City is good practice for their England contingent, after all England haven't managed to find a way to break down teams who do that for decades

Dirty tackling and diving is a ploy I guess.

They were a touch more adventurous than Newcastle, probably because they have stronger attacking players.
