The beautiful game!

Got a feeling last nights result is very symbolic. Brighton will miss results in those games, bournemouth will have enough in the long run

Brighton really didn't do alot wrong Sussex, two slight defensive lapses, apart from that you totally nullified our attack.

I guess the difference from the Championship is that two lapses often mean two goals when maybe last season they wouldn't.

One win doesn't make a winter for us. The worry going forward is Howe's love of the Arter Surman partnership in midfield. Fair enough Surrman had a decent game for once last night and scored, but Arter has never really cut it at this level and seems to give the ball away more and more. He's scored twice in two and a bit seasons, and one of those shouldn't have counted. It represents a woeful return for an attacking midfielder.

Eddie Howe has to give Lewis Cook his place, but it is very unlikely to happen unless Arter gets suspended. I might have to start wishing for one of his rash mistimed tackles at an unimportant time in a game or an injury in training. Sad to say that but nothing will change otherwise.

Bournemouth at least have a striker who is worth 10-15 points on his own. You set up like us, and those defenders are asked to maintain discipline for 90 minutes, which is tough. They will make mistakes which is normal, but you need to show killer instinct at the other end. Last night as was the 4th game in 5 we missed key chances by all accounts. When they don't come often, you have to make the best of it.

On the flip side, bournemouth have a guy who's proven to get important goals often when given nothing. Dafoe will keep you up, while he offers little creativity, he does at least finish the few chances he's given

Probably best that none of you watch Sky Sports PL for the next 90 mins. You'll never get that time back again.

You mention Lewis cook budget, has he even played since his move from Leeds? Came very well recommended as a youngster with bags of talent, strange he's not yet had much of a run out.

Palace are in crisis, I'd expect 3-0 saints

Been a decent game, Soton should go on to win this.

I think he started a couple of league games at the end of last season, did well by all accounts, however nothing this, didn't even get on the bench in some games.

Most people down here are clamouring for him to start, perhaps Eddie Howe hears the cries, but stubbornness prevents him getting a berth, I don't know. It seems the worse we play the more he relies on the old guard, which I guess is understandable, tried and tested and all that.

If Palace lose this game they've got Man C, Man U and Chelsea in their next 3 games to pick their first points up!

Our first eight games in 1998/99 were seven defeats (including a 5-0, a 4-0 and a couple of 3-0s) and one draw, and we ended up surviving! Sunderland the same a couple of years ago. And I think Pompey.

Still a long way to go yet before even thinking that that record of Derby's being threatened.

That it is, though if they still have 0 points after the next 3 games, derby supporters might start to dream:)

City starting to very ominous.

Liverpool are just not convincing yet.

Newcastle win again, and are in the top 4... for now.

31 points till safety, but so far a good return to the premiership.
