Missed all the semis and finals! I see that Fr lost! Not really surprised. Good show by Japan, USA looked really determined vs brazil

I watched a replay of the final, and Japan gave as good as they got in the final....

The first half looked even, and the second half was dominated by the Americans, but Japan were the better side in the extra-time, IMO.

I believe because of how long the football takes, rest between games etc.

Watching Japan V Canada on the red button was quite the interesting match. A decent spectacle even if the second half was a tad scrappy at times and a decent turnout. In the first half Japan seemed in control but after the break Canada really upped their game. They put a gutsy defence up in the second half and scored a good goal in the second half. They applied pressure when Japan held the ball and a lot of times in the second half Japan were rushed in their passing and couldn't retain the control they had in the first half. Unfortunately they couldn't find the equaliser as Japan won 2-1 but they can take this performance forward and build on it v Sweden and SA.
