If the expected sides win their semis its likely to be a USA - Japan final, a repeat of the world cup final. That was 2-2 after extra time and Japan won on penalties 3-1.

Canada are a different class, more physical whilst they closed down Team GB at every opportunity. Only tactic Team GB resorted to is hoof ball, long range shots and get rid of the it as quickly as possible.

Can't understand why Sophie Bradley got subbed when she was the most composed defender and I thought Karen Bardsley was a suspect keeper, wasn't quick enough to deal with both Canada goals although the 1st one was down to bad defending.

Amazing, the USA are all over Canada in the second half and with Canadas only attack in nearly 30 minutes and they score.

Now the USA score what a match, but really the USA are by far the better side, but they may well go out.

Every time the USA score they just take their foot off the pedal, and on the few occasions they have had to defend they have done it poorly.

I think the penalty was a bit rough as she was protecting her face, but I guess it deflected the ball. :dunno

Both teams look like they could score now at any moment. :dance

OMG how did Wombech miss that one, she may have just dropped the gold medal. :no

3-3 and another goal qucikly in response. Seemed a tad harsh though to award a penalty. Some quality football on show though and both sides giving the crowds great entertainment.

The Canadians are super bitchy and pretty rough. Surprised they haven't had more cards.

Canada appear to be a little fitter than the USA and I think extra time will favour them.

Yep there sure are. The USA should have finished this off by now. They may regret those misses.
