Straight at her, then fluffed the cross.

Got it into space well. Got the ball into the box, as opposed to shooting form 30 yards.

We've had a few chances, perhaps more than the Dutch?

Error ridden, frightened performance.

My son still wants to watch the final. Good on him.

First England game i have watched in the tournament, and the Dutch were much better and deserving of the win for me

Much was made before the game of England's composure in the QF against home nation Canada, last year (I think) but they did seem rattled tonight.

England were much better when they kept the ball, which makes the starting tactic of hoofing the ball up the pitch to try and catch NL out and silence the crowd seem a little foolish, because all it did was give NL the chance to keep the ball and settle into the game. England were not given the chance to settle at any stage, and that is to the great credit of the Dutch coach and the players

more likely they'll see making the semi finals as a success and give him a pay rise

England got off to an excellent start in their WC group, last night, beating Russia 6-0

Russia were touted before the game as representing a stiff test. Known for being a bit agricultural, they got a player sent off early, which doubtless made the job a lot easier

I wondered how long that would take

I have no idea whether he was guilty of anything or not, but the allegations haven't gone away, despite 2 enquiries exonerating him

eventually something has to give

It appears he has previous and that's why he's been sacked.

It seems very murky at present. No one is saying what he has done. The FA have paid is contract out in full and have said he perfectly fine to have another job. Seems like they are scapegoating someone here.

The FA really could not organise a pi.. up in a brewery.
