If Bright is out for a while, maybe there is still a chance for Houghton to make a surprise return, even though Sarina doesn't seem interested. They could have used her experience last night

Who played at the back last night?
I'd have thought Greenwood and Williamson would be good enough long term. I'm not a massive fan of Bright but the proof is in the pudding. She doesn't play and we lose 2-0.

Might be a bit of a worry that they lost like that to Australia (even though it was an end of season friendly) , given that the GB women's team also lost to the Aussies at the last Olympics ?
Apparently the WC draw makes it quite likely the two will meet in the knockouts ; so you'd have to think the morale factor has tipped a bit in the Australians' favour...
Then again , law of averages

No Greenwood (I think she might have picked up an injury in the previous game)
Williamson right half
Morgan left half
Carter left back
Bronze right wing
and we struggled against Brazil without Bright. That second half was harum scarum for the full 45

Leah Williamson has just hobbled off the pitch in the Arsenal/Man Utd game. Looked innocuous, but she immediately signalled that she was in trouble. Didn't need the stretcher though, so hopefully she'll be okay sooner rather than later

I was glad to see her walking. Fingers crossed it's nothing too serious.

Sadly, it is serious. ACL and puts her out of the WC

Need to get Millie Bright fit again
Sarina doesn’t seem to rate her, but I can see a place going to Houghton

Women Footballers have issues with ACL's and here's another example. Really sad for Williamson.

according to the beeb, 5 of the 20 ballon d'or nominees are currently out with an ACL injury
I'm guessing Mead, Putellas and Miedema, but not sure who the other two are

Arsenal - Wolfsburg is end to end. 2-2 and either look like they can nick it.

I struggle with Arsenal a bit
so few English players it'd be easy to think that Wenger was in charge of recruitment
Wolfsburg are packed full of German players
