they may be way down in the table, but they are within a win of the top end.

4 wins and a draw from our last 5. We look much better now than at the start of the season. Hope we can put a good long unbeaten run together.

Harry is gone 8 games in.

15 million spent in the summer, 14 players in. No players sold. The year before Birmingham spent 8 million, no players sold. Got to think they must be flying pretty close to FFP.

Heres a record of spending in the last 5 years from present Championshop clubs.

Forest bottom with 48 million worth of player talent sold, and 25 million bought.

That link makes for interesting reading.

Barnsley, Brentford and Bristol City have sustained their Championship status through player sales. Since they have been Championship teams for less than 5 years, their season net spend is likely to be greater as they have done a bulk of their business in the 2nd tier.

It would be interesting to see those figures for clubs who won promotion to the Championship, but soon got relegated and stagnating clubs who got relegated to League 1.

Poor refereeing is alive and well in the Championship.

A shocker of a tackle by a Leeds player, studs up flying through the air, taking the Sheff Utd players lower leg out, a guaranteed leg breaker if the guy hadn't marginally reacted as the tackle came in.

Yellow card awarded, clueless decision, it looked red in full time, and six reds in the replay.

All I can say is dirty Leeds!

It's a fairly tight league too in the top half.

Sounds like we won against the run of play.

A work in progress, but some good things happening down at the City Ground this year. Very young team with a few older players to balance it out. Mid table is looking more and more likely.

And playing some great football as well.

Simon Grayson sacked as Sunderland boss.

It appears to have happened literally after the full time whistle tonight.

Just 4pts separating 6th and 15th in the Championship, seems ridiculously tight at this stage in the season.

Tyler Walker scored 2 goals for Forest yesterday.

In 354 games for the club, his dad only managed 1 goal..:)

Not including own goals of course.......

The Championship is not a forgiving division for a relegated Premier League side, even if they have parachute payments. Presuming Sunderland do go down, they are going to blow everyone in League 1 out of the water with a £35 Million advantage and distort wage demands even further in the division.
