City 2 down at home now.

Jose will be happy seeing that.

City 22/1 to win now on Sky bet.

Might not be a bad punt.

The Champions League hasn't interfered with Celebrity jungle this year. I assumed the CH L had finished earlier this year, but apparently not. Can I presume that ITV lost the TV rights? The jungle is certainly a better programme for its absence

BT Sport have had it for a few years, and imo do a very decent job.

The goals show is an excellent programme which follows all eight group games each night ala Red Zone for the NFL.

Think they've got it for another three years at least. They seem to be chucking alot of money at top flight football at the moment.

Watching the highlights of the Liverpool game. Spartak look like a team who had taken acid before the game, and are simply tripping out on the pitch. The defending is shambolic

It was the type of performance that makes one wonder if someone had a bet on.

but in saying that, Liverpools front 4 are really starting to work well together.

They put 7 past Maribor away from home in an earlier group game, and it could have been a lot more.

It seems when they are really on the money they can run riot.

Spartak are a team way behind the pace in Russia this year, the run away leaders Lokomotiv Moscow just lost in the Europa League to the footballing superpower FC Sheriff of Moldova, and its acknowledged that Russian football is at its worst since communism ended. So beating Spartak and Slovenia's champions is hardly much of a thing to write home about.

They won 3 matches in possibly the easiest group in the competition. Having Klopp and others talk about their CL performance this year being historically impressive is baffling.

Judging on the highlights, Spartak defended like a league two side. Liverpool were knocking long balls up that should have easily been cleared, and getting goals when they werent.

They should have been 5-0 up at half time in Sevilla, a side notoriously good at home in all formats.

Moreno then lost the plot in the second half, and the usual defensive frailties came to the fore.

Bad defending or not, Liverpool are awesome at times. If Mane had his shooting boots on, then it would have been double figures.

I'd ecpect three of our teams to get through, and are Juve and Barca as good as they were? Of course the latter are storming their league but....
