The beautiful game!

I wouldnt pencil in Portugal just yet. Iran played well yesterday, Portugal have played about as badly a side can do with having scored 4 points. Its not out of the realms of possibility that Iran can beat Portugal and knock them out. A 1-0 win for Iran would do it I think, theyd have a plus 1 goal difference to Portugals 0...

Well actually, theyd have 6 points to 4 either way

I'd laugh so much if that happened.

Last second Iran ball in, Pepe falling over for a free kick and accidentally heading it in his own net, in a match Portugal miss 23 clear cut chances....that would be perfect

I don't really want Iran getting through. Id much rather see Ronaldo in the knock-out stages, along with the Spanish.

Going to be a long afternoon for the Aussie boys, it seems. Great finish that

Great technique to get the effort below the crossbar.

I must admit when the ref waived play on i sensed he was going to blow up at some point to look at the TV. Didn't take him long to make up his mind. Bit soft but arm was high.

Oz probably deserve to be level on balance of play.

There have been a lot of penalties this world cup so far.

Seemingly because the rules have changed to any touch = foul, any hand = intentional handball...

VAR was always going to make it so.

Should have had more with the missed rugby tackles on Kane!

Sounded to debatable for VAR to ask the ref to look at the Aussie penalty. I thought VAR was for clear mistakes only?

Australia has already exceeded my expectations for this tournament. They were low, but even so, this is about as good as could have been expected.

Probably worthy of more than just the one point from their two games.

The Peruvian support is fabulous.
