Plenty to talk about at HT. Better keep it on BBC for their views!

Perisic's hand does go towards the ball. Not blatant but you can see why he gave it.

Wouldn't call it a clear and obvious decision though, as is the VAR criteria for overturning.

He's saying in the split second that Kante misses the ball, he purposefully reacts to block the ball coming in....

Not even superman reacts that quick. It's impossible. It's not a penalty

got to feel sorry for Croatia... they're playing football and France are playing games

should have known what was likely to happen when France decided to employ Tom Daley as one of their coaches

total dive for the free kick that France scored from. then a couple of mins later, I watched Giroud drop to the ground when defending a corner.

I knew the ref was going to give the penalty, as soon as he'd realised that his name would appear in pub quizzes for years to come... who was the first ref to award a VAR penalty in a world cup final? big incentive

Very possible as seen.

They might, they've been the better team so far.

You think he intentionally reacted? He thought that's what I want to do and did it?

Or is it a reflex action?

A reflex action.

So, are reflex actions intentional?

I suppose they can be? If a defender sticks out a leg in a spilt second, trips a forward who skips by him in the penalty area then that's a pen.

To cut it short. Yes, a reaction can be judged as a intentional act.

It was a pen, imo and the ref thought the same.
