Just the thing to kick start Germany. South Korea next so they should get 6 points.

Why was 5 mins injury time played anyhow? Nothing justified that

I've been saying to Mrs DF that Germany would score from the 80th minute. I actually knew that they would score from that free kick, and I take no pleasure from it at all.

great free kick, though. The commentator called it straight away.... touch and a shot he said.... pity the Swedish players couldn't hear him because they didn't seem at all ready for it.

*modded* Germany!

For the record, I still think Argentina will find a way to progress too

I also said to Mrs DF, that if it was still level after 90 mins that there would be 5 or 6 minutes of injury time, despite there being almost no stoppages

Sweden are the only team at this cup who didn't throw themselves on the floor as well.

Sometimes someone hits a free kick so well and exactly where and how they wanted to hit it, it's just plain unstoppable.

At least it keeps the group open going into the third round of games and doesn't have Sweden and Mexico playing out a draw with weakened sides.

It's also possible for all teams to still qualify and Mexico to go out.

Sterling is going to need to score today otherwise the press will increase the pressure on him

Maybe as Loftus-Cheek was already in for the injured Alli, Southgate didn't want to change the team that beat Tunisia any further.

I still would have started Rashford ahead of Sterling, but he is a very potent sub when he comes on for a 20 to 25 minute burst.

England were great for the first 30 minutes against Tunisia. Sterling was part of that, so deserves his place in my opinion. Rashford off the bench is a great option.

Loftus Cheek deserves his place and i think it will make England more solid. And to think Chelsea bought in Barkley and Drinkwater. Crazy.
