I said a month back, they started to look off the boil. 3 wins in 7 at the moment. They arent losing, but dropping every other game as a draw

Newcastle come back from 2-0 down to beat Everton 3-2

however wins for Southampton and Cardiff mean it doesn't earn them a 9 point cushion

Cardiff beat a West Ham side that completely dismantled Newcastle last week

The offside rule is seriously screwed.

Seen a number of goals this season where players in offside positions are gaining an advantage but due to the different phase of play bullocks they get away with it. Sterling was offside for their first goal tonight, the defender played the ball against him so it was called onside. But he was forced into a last ditch clearance because Sterling was offside.

Its the same when a striker is miles ahead of the play but the ball gets played out to the wing to someone who is onside who then crosses the ball to the striker who is now in an onside position to score. Defenders chasing back have no chance.

And whats all this coming back from an offside position rubbish where the player is not in an advantageous position, gets penalised every time, pointless. Why on earth can't you just play on. The rule is all to cock, yes we don't get screamers disallowed anymore but there is so much wrong with the rule.

Cardiff have got Chelsea and Man City next, plucky effort recently to stay in the mix, but they should fall short.

I think Newcastle have won 5 of the last 7, so I'd like to think that they'll stay away from the relegation battle

4 from 7

Newcastle only have 3 home games left, but 5 of the 8 remaining fixtures are against teams around them... Bournemouth, Leicester, Brighton, Southampton and Palace with a season ender at Fulham

Man Utd were miles off the pace. Arsenal weren't even that great but a simple win in the end.
