Champions League 2018/19

The beautiful game!

Champions League 2018/19

It's back!

This season looks wide open. Surely a Madrid side, minus Ronaldo cannot win it four times on the trot. As for Ronaldo. His Juve team will be tough to beat, having come close in the last few years.
Can an English side win it? City, Liverpool or even Utd certainly can.

Tonight's games are up and running, and even finished. Messi got off to a flyer with another hat-trick, and Spurs were Spurs.

Don't like these new 6 o'clock kick offs, but I guess it's all about maximising the viewing figures.

Too busy with dinner, I don't settle down until after 7!

I don't rate Milner very highly, but he does take a damn good penalty.

I don't get to watch too much full stop.

I like Milner. Every team needs a Milner.

Maybe, but they've got a Henderson, and no team needs both.

Has VAR died a death in club football?

VAR would have helped rule out that first Paris goal.

Even with Paris playing below par they can still hurt teams on the counter attack. Neymar to Mbappe and it's 2-2.

Good to see Sturridge back scoring goals for Liverpool.

It could be Paris or Barcelona this season. Barcelona off to a good start with 4-0 over eindhoven.

Firmino snatched a late winner!

There seems to be a lot of hope around this Liverpool team. On paper stronger than last year and a real togetherness amongst the players. Getting lots of results with out their star player from last year firing. They could have a huge season.

Nice to see Sturridge in the goals to. A fully fit Sturridge would be in the England squad. The depth up front for Liverpool is impressive.

They haven't really played well yet, and are still 100%. Bodes well you would think.

Not sure I think Sturridge will do alot, he's bound to pick up a niggle at some point. Didn't do much last night except score a fairly simple header and miss a great chance. He gets too sulky, and for me isn't a great team player. He's bound to prove me wrong!

Yeah, Salah has gone right off the boil, he's as bad this season as he was good last. It's why he is Messiesque in everything bar consistency which is why he'll never get to Messi's level.

Still can't see Milner and Henderson in the same side leading to a Premier League title!

Keita is a player and a half.

Man C 1-0 down to Lyon, it was coming.

Ronaldo's been sent off. Does this mean he will miss the Utd games?
