Great game. Spurs did have the rub of the green through VAR, but it was an underperformance in the first leg that cost City. Their Champions League curse v English opposition continues.

It might be a blessing in disguise for their pursuit of the Premier League title. Liverpool get a double-header v Barca in the first two weeks of May, the final two weeks of the league, while City will get a rest.

That said, City's key matches are in the next two weeks against Spurs again and the Manchester derby.

Ajax dominated the first leg at Tottenham, and come out 1-0 winners.

Liverpool are really paying for not putting their chances away.

Blimey, right in the top corner. I'd normally blame the keeper for getting beat from that far out, but not that time.

Dembele wasted two good chances to put the tie out of reach.

That game should have been 10-6 to Barcelona in the end, both teams have missed some great chances.

Barcelona just had too much quality. First half was pretty equal, I had Barcelona up on points (and a goal), but not much in it. Liverpool came back strong and dominated up to Messis goal....
After that though, Barcelona could have about 9 goals.... Liverpool crumbled like a biscuit after the second. They are lucky this tie is still remotely in reach, they should be out. But they need a miracle.

With every passing game I wonder what role VAR has in the game. Mane smacks Vidal round the face, he complains to the ref, but he doesnt use it. It was bloody obvious on the TV footage too..... Mane is lucky to not be suspended for the next round

Liverpool loosing Kieta was a blow. Though it seemed to open the game up.
