This has gone under the radar a bit, but League 1 Burton Albion are through to the League Cup Semi-Finals. Having beaten Shrewsbury, Aston Villa, Burnley, Nottingham Forest and Middlesbrough.

Perhaps a kind route having only faced one Premier League opposition, but still a feat to get there by beating household teams.

Be interesting to know how many changes Huddersfield and Cardiff have made to their line ups after their "shock" FA Cup exit.

All this "concentrating on the league" is a myth of a cliche, winning breeds confidence regardless of the competition. Would rather win the FA Cup and get relegated 3 days later than finish 17th in the Premier League.

Not me, we beat Brighton 2-0 at home a couple of weeks ago in the league, and lost 3-1 at home in the cup to the same team today. I'd take that way round every day of the week.

I couldn't give a stuff about the FA Cup, intact I detest it's intrusion into the league programme. At least the League Cup is predominantly midweek.

Personally think the FA Cup 3rd Round should be played a week later, let teams have a breather after the festive matches and a full week to prepare (unless if participating in the League Cup Semi-Finals of course).

Can never understand the logic of Wagner making eight changes against Bristol City when Huddersfield are 8pts adrfit of safety, 5 losses in a row and can't score for toffee. Their strongest strike force should be given licence to shoot against lower opposition defence.

trouble is the 'money' don't agree, and to be fair to them the rewards for survival are eye watering and getting worse (or better, depending on your point of view). Would i be as happy to lose a cup final and then get relegated 3 days later? probably not

I expect avoiding relegation is higher on the prioritise list for Fulham.
