All football off until april 4th at the earliest.

It seems that the policies are being led by public boards. They are making the hard decisions whilst the Government is not making the hard decisions.

Absolute knee jerk reaction to postpone all professional football when the vast majority of players and officials are healthy. It's not like the virus is going to magically disappear after 3rd April. There are lower league clubs teetering at the edge and having no income for at least two match days can be the difference of going out of business.

Of course if there are clubs experiencing multiple cases of coronavirus infections, then there is a better argument of postponing games.

FA have extended the current 2019-2020 season indefinitely, which makes sense as opposed to voiding a season. No guarantees of the 2020-2021 season to be successfully completed should the coronavirus strike again in winter. Teams will just have to play every other day like they did during the winter of 62/63 when professional football was frozen off for numerous weeks to complete the fixture list.

I reckon non league football will resume the season first, as they have the bigger backlog of fixtures and play on smaller/open grounds. Makes managing the virus easier compared to playing at Old Trafford, Emirates, Anfield, SJP etc.

Got to love technology in football. The PL returns, and Aston Villas keeper falls into the side net with the ball in his hand, and the technology rules it out because the cameras didnt see the ball cross the line..... but literally every single person watching around the world saw a clear goal. What is going to happen if Villa end up surviving this year by a point they won off the back of this farce, of Sheffield United miss out on Europe losing 2 key points?

Its a total farce. We can spend 10 minutes replaying things to check if a single strand of hair on someones head might be 1mm offside, but the ball thunders over the line by a meter and the referee waves play on.

Get rid of this nonsense, its causing more problems then anything; if the hawkeye system cant spot a ball that far over the line, then its not fit for purpose.

At least with technology in other sports, the referee has a soft signal. Decisions in football just get re-made or overturned long after the initial passage of play is made.

Either way, the assistant referee should have flagged for goal. The ball practically made it's way to Solihull! Part of the problem is officials get marked down for calling a goal incorrectly, but not calling a goal when it was.

VAR should only be used if the captain challenges the decision, like in the NRL.

Technology worked in the game at Tottenham, where a second penalty was overturned.

Manchester United looked ordinary until Pogba came on and secured the draw.

Well done Liverpool and excellent work from Klopp.

Not sure they can maintain this intensity for the coming years but this is some achievement for them.

Chealski and United making a late run.

Well done to Liverpool. A possible 100 plus points on the cards as well.

Yes the top four and Europa League places is going to be interesting. At one point Leicester looked odds on for a CL place but not any more. Utd and Chelsea are going well at present, and even Spurs.
