I see the PL have now made every game available on PPV from next gameweek, priced at 15 quid a pop. How flaming ridiculous is that price for 90 minutes of football???

How much do people pay for SKY and BT sports as it is now? A flaming fortune.... and yet they have to pay more still if they want access to matches?

I hope zero people pay it

how many people will have the spare money for this?

Trying to get some money back from their failed chinese deal or clubs trying to make money back from lost match day revenue. Either way might we see a little bit of a fan revolution.

Is it not essentially ifollow for prem clubs? What’s that priced at?

I think £5 would be a nice sweet spot but I’m not sure I want to fund the glazers lol

I don’t disagree but the way the club is run...

Ole did ok getting us 3rd last year.

I think we’ve been figured out though and he hasn’t adapted. Teams have been doing the same thing to us since the Southampton draw last season.

I’m at a loss with it all tbh. How long can we keep going in this same cycle with managers

I am though i dont expect the style of play to change. For the division and how Forest seem to play now I had hoped we would have signed him earlier. He has a real mess to clean up as well. Huge job he has taken on, and at present behind the scenes it seems to be a real mess. 13 new players this summer. No one seems to know what the plan is......hopefully Hughton can impose his views onto the club and we get a level of stability.

The Premier League and the English Football League are in open conflict after plans advocating fundamental reform of the game were made public.

Project Big Picture is the name given to a proposal devised by Liverpool and Manchester United but, crucially, approved by the Football League in which big clubs would get control over the running of the top flight in return for redistributing greater funding down the football pyramid.

The EFL chairman, Rick Parry, has publicly endorsed what he calls “a great idea” – one that would involve Football League clubs taking 25% of future Premier League deals and the end of parachute payments. These changes would be accompanied by further reforms shrinking the Premier League to 18 places, ending the Carabao Cup and giving the nine longest-serving top-flight clubs preferential votes.

Newcastle fans raised £20k for a food bank by donating the £14.95 PPV fee instead of watching yet another thumping.

I didn't know that half of the matches were behind an additional paywall :o

It's almost as if subscribing to Sky sports and BT sports and everybody else who is in the market (I lose track) isn't enough... now you also have to PPV

I'm glad I don't bother with any of it.... bottomless pit..... so I heartily approve of this 'charity not PPV' idea

As a championship chairman, Id hire Chris Hughton in a heartbeat. He will make you a tougher side to beat, at that level being compact and disciplined with a bit of creativity here and there is enough to rise above the dross. Of course when he tries it in the PL, the quality of players needed for that system just isnt good enough for a lower league team, the lone front man needs to be Shearer levels of good in holding up the ball or you just offer no threat, while you invite pressure.

Tough job of course. Needs to be given 2-3 years and patience. Let him get some players in, give him time to mould his ideas.

Of course this being Forest I expect he will be sacked by March

They gave the last guy a few months to long which was very much not like Forest.

I get the feeling the Houghton had been on the radar a long time, and that some of these signings were actually done so he would move to Forest.

Unless it goes very badly i think he will get some time. But i have given up guessing. behind the scenes there seems to be many problems.
