Doubt it. Real are just going to spend the next 15 minutes pretending to be injured, and after 12minutes of wasted time, the ref will add 30 seconds as usual.

May be a good time for Newcastle to play them and perhaps settle the title race too..... who knows, maybe it'll be the worst possible time and a stung City will lash out and thrash them

Man City just cannot get the hang of the two-stage European tie, can they?

Could go one of two ways. City could be even more determined to bounce back and take the only silverware available to them, while Liverpool have to cope with 5 matches in two weeks, or they could lose all heart and throw it away.

City's run-in looks marginally harder, but there's not much in it. Away to West Ham and Wolves, while Liverpool have away v Southampton and Villa, but Liverpool also have Tottenham, albeit at home. Both sides should be able to take four wins from four. It's just a question of who's got the nerve now.

It feels like a procession of freaky incidents than any of the "bottle it job" rubbish people are indulging in.

Sane scored what would have been a winning goal in the year Liverpool won it last at Anfield...he was incorrectly ruled offside even though he was quite a distance on.

The year they were knocked out by Lyon, Dembele clearly fouled the last defender, and VAR made a mistake and didn't show the right passage to the referee in the booth.

When Tottenham beat them, Llorente's late goal that changed the destiny of the tie was a clear handball.

Last year's final a Chelsea player left their best player with a shattered eye socket from a purposeful shoulder to the head off the ball, and wasn't sent off at 0-0. If James goes, Chelsea almost certainly lose.

In contrast Liverpool's only win under klopp needed city's perfect winning goal to be disallowed, and the winning penalty they received in the final was a joke.

Last night is a great example. Real Madrid scored with their first 6 shots on target over both legs.

Considering even world class strikers hit the net on about 30 percent of their shots on target, the chances of that happening even in the best case scenario is (rough maths guess) between 1500-1800 to 1

Luck can make a huge difference. Man Citys luck might win them the title whilst it relegates Everton. Though other than Everton supporters i think most people will be happy to see them go down.
