Feel it's a bit much Celtic 'fans' are petitioning for the sacking of Deila

Chris Dagnall's career progression over last two years has been: Leyton Orient, Kerala Blasters, Hibernian.

Not the usual route.

Something has always puzzled me about the Scottish Premier league.

So far into the season the table seems to have a line drawn through it half way down. I don't know why though.

Its around this point that the teams in the top half and bottom half split off and only play each other for the remaining games of the season. The team in sixth cannot finish lower than sixth even if the team in seventh ends up with more points.

Must admit I thought they had done away with that ridiculous system a while ago, but this line suggests not.

22 games per season isn't anywhere near enough. But 44 games is just a little bit too many (and no doubt a little boring, playing everyone four times). So a 38 game season - being 33 games, plus a further 5 after the league splits in half - was the compromise.

I agree that it's a little weird, but everyone knows the rules at the start of the season. You have 33 games to get yourself into the top 6. Yes 7th may well ultimately finish with more points than 6th, but then they'd have had an easier set of final five fixtures.

Thanks Budget.

I knew there'd have to be a logical explanation for it.

Wonder how long it will take them to challenge for the title once again. I know Scottish football isn't strong but I seem to remember Rangers get an absolute hammering in the playoffs last season by the second worst team in the Premier.

This is one hell of a match. Celtic hit the bar near the end of extra time. Looks like it will be penalties.
