Well Lyon has started well, PSG hasn't which isn't surprising, Lyon have kept the same team, as have Marseille.

Lille Marseille Lyon and PSG are going to fight for 3 places.

PSG should be operational in a few months, hope they don't lose too many points by then.

Regarding Ribery, having high expectations is fine, but Ribery will never come close to Messi.

Ntini, apparently, Platini said he was completely against it but was powerless to prevent it.

England game was off of couse. As for games which were on, Norn Iron won vs the Faroes to keep their hopes, Scotland beat Denmark in a friendly but Wales lost.

Elsewhere in Europe, shows what we're up against next summer Germany beat Brazil albeit in a friendly and Italy most surprisingly beat Spain- wasn't a weak Spain side either, good chunk of 1st XI on the pitch too.

Great mach between France and Chili, Sanchez is an amazing player, he can play 6,7,8,9,10 and 11! The guy yesterday was astounding!

Benzema was great as well, wish they would pair him with Gameiro.

Loic Remy impressed me as well and Marvin Martin has potential, he still needs to defend better especially if we are playing with 5 offensive player and only one defensive midfielder.

Chili are really really good, I was really impressed by them.

Barcelona will be very happy with their signing!

Seen Sanchez, excellent player. Slick, can play across the front line far from merely an out and out winger his super form last season came after being moved into the centre- should flourish at Barca that is if he can displace one of the front 3- Pedro maybe.

Gary Neville had some strong words to say about the England set-up this weekend in his autobiography being serialised in one of the papers.
