Jeez how bad are we. One - nil down to Maidenhead who were promoted to the National League at the end of last season.

Our style of football is terrible. It hasn't been great the last few seasons but in this game I've seen more skill on the park on a Sunday.

Could Ronaldo be in trouble for his slight push on the Ref?

Barca by all accounts looked pretty flat with out Neymar. Probably got tired of carrying Messi for the last few years.......

Just done that silly quiz on the BBC website about what premier league player are you most like.

I came back as James Milner!

Must be why I can't stand the guy.

Barcelona are sueing Neymar and have refused to pay him his loyalty bonus.

Interesting outcome for Barcelona if they happen to loose the court case. Not a great look in the grand scheme of things

Rooney has retired from international football.

Our top goal scorer, but I can't remember any being significant.

I hate this modern thing of retiring from international football, probably got told he would be on the squad but wouldn't play.

Time for all concerned to move on.

He did score a few significant ones in qualifiers, and Euro 2004. That said, he's been well past his best for a few years.

Interested to hear peoples thoughts on who has been England best strikers in the last 20 years?

For me it would be Shearer, Owen at his peak and Sherringham. Rooney has the goals record but was he more important than any of those three?

He was obviously a very good player, but his WC record is not good.

Rooneys World Cup record. He seemed to go into the tournament as one of the players to watch according to the press, but from memory he only scored one goal in all the WC tournaments, which was against Uruguay at the last World Cup.

Maybe peoples expectations were to much for him. Still he will retire with the England goals scoring record.
