There is a reason why teams are reluctant to score, because they don't want to hear those annoying Vuvuzelas.

An interesting match between Ivory Coast and Togo....first, an error by Kolo Toure lets Adebayor in, but he fails to get a shot off, and then, shortly afterwards, great work by Gervinho sets up Yaya Toure, who scores....Ivory Coast up 1-0.

Togo pull on back but gervinho scores to make it 2-1 to ivory coast in the dying minutes....

This tournament has been terrible so far.

Its a mix of cynical fouling, playacting, long ball football and people shooting from 75 yards when off balance.... the big European players dont seem interested at all, and the players who play lower down just dont have the quality to dazzle at all. Its like watching a league one match where some teams have an injured Zlatan forced to play

I have suffered through this Ghana v Mali match wondering whether I should further pollute one of the rare evenings I have to myself by watching the DR Congo play later.

Thought DR Congo's tactics were senseless in that Mali game. They needed to win to stay in, but played one up front even as the minutes ticked down against a side that never looked convincing at the back. DR Congo looked a well organised side, Mbonaki looked a decent player considering the service and support he got, but Congo deserved to get knocked out for showing the least ambition and belief in the tournament so far.
