Bracewell having a good final.

Looks like India will get 40 off 6. But not a sure thing. NZ running out of spin though.

Would be nice to have Sodhi for one of the quicks.

Comfortable for india in the end

Surprisingly kohli actually has a very poor record in tournament finals in odis

Averages 23 in 10 innings with a high score of 54.

India get an advantageous schedule and venue set-up again. And win again.

Complete coincidence I'm sure.

Well, that's the sad thing, isn't it? India have a bloody good team without a leg up from the ICC. They might well have won anyway. But we will never know, and the whole set up is putting a cloud over the results.

Indeed. Does mean a big asterisk on this win as not having to move from their base (and a ground well suited to their strengths) while opponents flew back and forth unquestionably gave them a decent advantage. Irony being that the tournament host is sort of entitled to a bit of an edge ; but in this case the poor old "home team" was properly shafted...

Money doesn't talk , it swears.

Ravi Ashwin should run for office in politics, because his take that the hybrid tournament was the work of the ICC and had nothing to do with the India team was pretty funny. Of course Ravi, at no stage did the BCCI refuse to play in Pakistan outright :facepalm

Well I have seen 20 replays from two angles, and none of them suggest Alvarez touched the ball with his left foot.

Utter scandal. Heads need to roll for this and a corruption investigation launched. Can UEFA pretend any less that they want Real Madrid to win?

The penalty shoot out should be replayed.

EDIT - In fact the angle from behind the goal shows about an inch gap between ball as he strikes it.

Embarrassing night for European Football. We need answers....
