After the dejection of a bad series, may as well focus on the funny side. It did make me chuckle that as soon as England were in trouble here, Marcus North turned up everywhere giving interviews to everyone who would hand him a microphone at Trent Bridge. Experienced in management, knows the county game, all that jazz.

Marcus, please have just a tad bit more class. The execution hasn't even started yet, let alone the bodies cold enough for you to get your job pitch in ....

I have heard a lot over the last few days about England being entertaining with their play, but this angle does confuse me. If I liked whacking sixes, I'd actually care more than 0% about the IPL or the 100. Which I dont, and not even remotely.

Not sure where some of these people think they speak on behalf of English cricket fans. Mitchell grinding out a 250 ball hundred is proper cricket.... and some of actually like that.

Curfewgate must have made Key's position untenable, surely? And if he goes, McCullum will go. Perhaps not immediately, because Harry Brainless will need someone to egg him on for the Pak series. After the summer, depending on who replaces Key, a new head coach will be appointed

I'm going to be really controversial here....... but it might not be ludicrous to suggest that England bring back Flower.... he being the polar opposite to McCullum. I think I'm right in saying that Key tried to justify Bethell's spell in this year's IPL as a not to be missed opportunity to work with Flower to develop his game.
