iirc we were around 202 after 30 overs , so they are ahead, difference is wickets in hand

Too right rich. Bell has also scored a ton before in this fixture - all one can say at the moment is that he's in knick and taken his opportunity.

We need a few wickets>

Maxwell out after hitting broad for three fours in the over

should be too much for the rest of this batting lineup to get 8 an over from here

You'd think even England will be ok now.

the two guys that are at the crease now have only played one t20 at full level between them , not a single list A or first class game , so if we lose this now then it will be pretty shocking

The name Condon gets on my goat. When I first started playing men's cricket, at the age of 16, we had a player with this name, who was a total pillock. Whenever my bowling took some stick, and it did at times, he would moan and tut, which drained all my confidence. Looking back, I should have told him to f..k off.

Sorry, rant over.

The Aussies are doing their best to get Tredwell into the Tri-series.

Bit worrying we've let this batting line up score over 300 against us.

I wouldn't be surprised if England play this XI for the first ODI as they bat down to 11. Maybe worried about facing Johnson.

Don't think playing Tredwell against Australia would be a good idea unless you're playing at Adelaide/Sydney. They seem to play him pretty well. Also, their batting lineup is primarily right handed. Might play him vs India as he has a decent record against us.

Anderson will come in for Jordan and it will be a toss up between finn and tredwell , I think they might be tempted to rely on just moeen and root for spin

Jordan looks close to unselectable at times , I don't know why he is even in the squad as I don't think he can be trusted to not go all over the park

Anderson is ranked England's leading ODI bowler, but has only played ten games away in the last four years. Broad has played nine. Jordan and Stokes have both played more than that. Anderson and Broad were welcomed back as key bowlers, but outside of UK, they don't have a recent record to go on. And when they have played, their record is about the same as the others, apart from Finn's being better (though not now the bowler he was).

We look to have a pretty settled side, with only really two positions up for grabs, though Bell has surely demanded the openers spot.
