if pakistan had them at 180-4 coming out for the final session with handscomb on just 15 and maddison new to the crease it could have been a very different game

It's a very good article..

Amir - On his comeback has been well below par...yes he has been unlucky with chances put down..but overall, he swings the ball way less, his pace has been way down, and on the whole generally dosen't look threatning, looks a shadow of his former self unfortunately..

Rahat - Not good enough.

Imran - Good in swingining conditions, but when pitch is flat offers nothing at all.

Wahab - Good fiery bowler, but only seems to be used in short pitched bowling ways..dosent offer much else, and tends to go round the park

Yasir - no doubting he is world class in UAE, and spinning conditions, but out of Asia, leaves a lot to be desired...got a 6-fer in england, but then went missing in rest of series, and went for a lot of runs...only has the legspinner and is quite predictable...as shown today

The surprising aspect is that they are all very slow.
Bhuvaneshwar kumar will be similar speeds or faster to them and he easily one of the india slowest bowlers in the main group.
even Sri lanka main core are quicker as well.
probably the fitness aspect of it, only amir fit the rest can't even bowl more than 8 or 9 overs a day without being slow and sloppy in the field.
TBH quite funny how many think pakistan got a good bowling attack because well they are pakistan.

Think the key is that they don't really know the best bowling attack or what they actually bring to the party, no stock bowler, strike bowler or anything apart from Yasir maybe applying control in first innings.

Wahab was clocking high 140s yesterday. That's not slow.

TBH one bowler bowling quick doesn't change the fact the attack does look slow and unfit.
Pakistan certainly look bad in their 2nd or 3rd spells.
Wahab included in this.
Although looking at it maybe phrased it wrong by saying they are all slow, wahab is clearly the exception.
But apart from him the attack quite slow and samey.
Amir swinging it early and from the hand and probably need to be a touch quicker to be effective more.
Rahat slow and inaccurate and sohail the same but worse in that he can't finish games.

Junaid Khan must have something on the selectors or is awful after injury if he can't get a game still.

Feel weird saying this but Pakistan got a lot of trundlers at the moment even the under 19 boys looked average.
It seems odd India got a better group of pace men that are better skilfully and pace wise.

Imran Khan should be in the XI. Miles better than Rahat.

Not sure why Junaid hasn't been selected in the squad.
