Kusal caught by Ben in slips of Jack's bowling. Same consistent line and length he has bowled this spell rewards him a wicket. Probing stuff. Good to watch. Well bowled. :clap

34/3 in 13.2 overs. SL are in trouble.

First Test catch as well for Foakes.

New ball wickets again, so something there for the pace bowlers, and could have had a couple more judging by Adi's posts.

Bad shots were played / generated. However no half chances or dropped catches by any fielder. All England bowlers have bowled well.

Moeen strikes. Dhananjaya clean bowled trying to play rubbish sweep without any cover. Would have been LBW though even if he had second line of defense having missed connecting that with ball. Similar to dismissal of Ben.

Credit to Moeen for bowling that line and length but the batsman has to necessarily connect those when they attempt sweep at that line and length.

SL in tatters. 40/4 in 16.3 overs. Are England the home team. :hmmm

94 % balls bowled by Jack so far are in 75 to 85 kph speed range, which is excellent for spinner.

SL 42/4 in 19 overs at lunch

England lost 5 wickets for 113 runs in their first session of batting innings yesterday. SL have lost 4 in less than a session for just 42 runs.

Battle of runs scored by lower middle order and tail. What are specialist batsmen of both teams doing.

Both spinners now seem to be increasing the pace. More is anyways faster. Jack too bowled 87 kph. With the ball getting older they might be bowling slightly quicker to make the ball do something on this wicket.

Both spinners do not have a wrong one. More being all rounder can afford not to have one, but specialist spinners should be looking to add to their skill sets. Good stock ball is a strong basic though.

At 1 p.m. the heat will be at its peak. Spinners will be tested in this session. Jack is bowling 11th over on trott with the lunch break giving him some rest.

Bowling change as Rashid is introduced from the end which Jack was bowling.

Long spell of 12 overs for Jack. 6 before lunch and 6 post lunch.

12 overs , 2 maiden, 17 runs and 1 wicket. Was a good spell.

This feels alien.... waking up to Asian test matches that England are doing well in. Good to see Foakes get a score!!!

England are in total control here. 1-2 wickets fall this session, and SL could be batting again tonight
