Sammy's speech....

So much rubbish was written about the West Indies before this tournament. So-called experts wrote off the Windies, and claimed they wouldn't advance beyond the group stages. The guys used this as motivation.

I used this as an opportunity to make money. Paddy Power had England as favourites to beat the WI in the group stages, and South Africa as favourites to beat WI shortly afterwards. I made sure to get my bets in before the tournament started, because I knew that once the bookies saw that the Windies were genuine contenders, the odds would be slashed.

Before the tournament started, I put £20 on Windies to win at 8-1, and thanks to Paddy Power's generosity, I will be collecting £160 tomorrow. Thanks, Paddy Power!

I have no sympathy for Premiership football fans who think they have it bad, relegation from the top flight is not the end of the world.

More than the pre tournament shenanigans, I would have thought the loss of Narine and Pollard would have derailed West Indies.

If Garlic Jam is listening, this is another trophy that should have an asterisk next to it

Why is that, Durham?

I just watched the match now, recorded on the computer, so I basically just watched each delivery as I zapped 15 or 30 seconds after each ball was bowled. What did I miss?
Maybe

Didn't see any of the celebrations of the windies, but alot of commentators saying OTT, arrogant, and showing little humility. A shame if that's true, but not surprising, it was similar four years ago. Left a sour taste in the mouth that day.
