No. He had just used every opportunity to criticise Samuels in the tournament. I think he wrote something after the semi-final saying he had done nothing, and that he might as well not turn up, or words to those effects.

Apparently he spent all the Aussie summer when WIndies were on tour ripping into Samuels too.

Debate about a clean catch. I had left the TV for 5 minutes and missed this part, but the replay I seen (from one angle) was inconclusive. Others seem to suggest it did bounce.

Warne was even more tiresome than usual over the Summer series in Aus, whining non stop about Samuels as if he was the on WI player on tour. I had forgotten his run in with Samuels, but then I don't follow Big Bash etc. Deserves every word of criticism he gets, from anyone. A total, unmitigated tool.

Samuel's criticism of Stokes in his post-match interview shows what a totally reprehensible individual Samuel's is. "He never learns", " He's a nervous individual"-making a personal attack on an opposition individual immediately after a World final is just not acceptable behaviour. Yes, there had been verbals between the two during the game but it's always been accepted that such spats stay on the field. I don't particularly like Warne but compared to Samuel he's a gentleman. Samuel is an experienced international,he'll be fully aware that there are certain areas where you don't transgress. He's shown how ignorant and arrogant he is.

I don't feel sorry for Stokes. He has an arrogant, abusive attitude, and always sledges certain West Indian players in the field. Not just Samuels, but Bravo too. If you can't take it, don't dish it out. I must admit, seeing Stokes getting hammered for four sixes by Carlos brought a smile to my face. You could see that Brathwaite couldn't stand Stokes' guts, and with good reason. To me, the best player got a pounding in that final over...there was no pity for him from my corner. Samuels was just giving Stokes back some of what he was dishing out. It just helped that he bowled arguably the worst final over ever bowled in a T2o final!

He's just gone up in my estimation. Unlike certain players, who seem to still hold a grudge, i.e. Samuels, Stokes, Root, Morgan, etc. All four of them need to get over it, and move on.
