That late strike makes it England's session.

I saw complaints earlier re the Moeen experiment , and was considering replying then. Now he has the wicket , a belated comment :
Yes the experiment of using Moeen early certainly failed . But does that make it a bad idea ? We have often criticized England for being too reluctant to try anything different : the New England clearly is less so ... I wouldn't have made that move myself , as I thought the pace men were looking dangerous and Wood might have taken over immediately. But trying Moeen might have upset Warner... I can't condemn it just because it didn't work. And then , second time around , it did.

That was a perfect length delivery from Moeen, Warner in two minds and caught playing back when he should have been forward. Oz still in decent shape only two down and almost a hundred on the board.
Work expands to fill the time available, so why do today what can be put off until tomorrow.

Second time around the ball ws 26 overs old, not ten and it was just before lunch when batsmen are less likely to attack. A ten over ball is for pace men not spin, especially when the batsmen were being beaten regularly by pace.

Spot on. I though it was a fair idea.

Some of the field placing has been debatable. Especially in the first twenty overs.

That experiment cost England 22 runs out of a session total of 97 and set Warner on his way to a half century. That's how good an idea it was.

Australia have played poorly either side of lunch and need a miracle now. Needed to be patient and grind England out the game, instead they got carried away and have lost this barring something incredibly special
