Not for the first time today, I am putting it down to appalling footwork. Any half decent player of spin sees that on the back foot, plays late, and blocks it easily.

Green just planted his feet and weight forward, and swipes at the ball..... could have fit the grand canyon between bat and pad, and Green ends up with the bat hoovering in front of his face and barely in his hands.

Green didn't really look comfortable. Wanted to go at Moeen a little, but didn't really get going at all

I think TMS must have got it wrong, but I had them on earlier for a bit of comms change, and the statto was saying Moeen's first spell was his longest he'd ever bowled in test cricket..... but surely that cant be true?
