In saying that the scorecard does not look to bad. Is it really as bad as is being reported? And if so, how has the SA bowling line up not bowled out this batting line up on such a dangerous pitch?

umpires do need to decide now though, if Sa bat then you really can't call the game off then considering that would be unfair on india.
SA are losing it now, 2 easy drops and they probably never chasing this total either.

Not a great pitch but it's no worse than queens Park Oval 1995. If that Australia match can be completed then so can this one.

This is not sabina park 1998. That was much worse than this.

Lead by 187. That's enough to win test match here imo. We are safe. Our batters have done incredibly well.

188 onboard. Ajinkya has ensured he is there for England test series. Well deserved. Nice comeback innings in very tough situations.

from the way SA are bowling and fielding at the moment and the faces of the players it looks like they know the game is over now, too many runs to get in the 4th innings.

Not a good pitch

But rabada, philander and bhuvi have all made runs on it so it's clearly not a minefield

The selection of rohit over Rahane looking more and more puzzling

Pitch is fine. Most of the batsman have been hit by not reading the lateral movement than from ones that have bounced dangerously. Amla got hit a few times, but he also stepped one meter to the offside every ball, so anything pitch in he had no chance of moving away from with all his weight on the move.

I give this pitch 10/10. Every ball is a spectacle, every run important. Proper test.

Of course, these modern day pancake batters can't handle it because they've been brought up on pitches flatter than a French fashion model.

The way we have batted this innings is just superb. Just like No 1 team. Other teams would have struggled to even score 150 on this. Very proud of this effort on such a wicket. Saffers have given is 25 runs too many in their bowling innings.

India certainly applied themselves better than south Africa. De plessis, de kock and abdv literally looked incapable when Kumar and sharma got the ball talking
