Cultural differences.... Australia went after England in the press to get under their skin, but that so unEnglish... we just serve up a tripe pitch for you to enjoy.

No all we need is Ali Cook to tell Johnson he is going to get his arm broken, Steve Smith will fly home with a stress related illness, Mitchell Johnson will retire after the second test, and we will win 5-0

You just never know Mark, he hasn't been dropped yet. He does have one last chance, and that is to bowl in the second innings and take 9 wickets.

You lost me there.

I was actually having a dig at some of my previous blogs about the pitch being a batters paradise because low and behold 11 wickets have already fallen today.

So there's about 130 overs left in this match. I'm guessing Clarke wants at least a ton, Mitchell Marsh is in a marvelous situation in that he can bat with the captain and doesn't have to retire to let someone else have a bat.

I would never like to second guess Clarke, even though I will all summer.

Laker airlines, now there's a blast from the past. Nothing to do with cricket of course and they went bankrupt in 1982 and I think I flew Laker airlines for the last time in 79 to go from Lax to England, but there was no contest that year.

Clarke gets his 50, he'll want 50 more I suspect before he's done. :clap

More power to him, let him bat for as long as he can. The more he plays, the increased likelihood his back gives out.

What? Your saying you don't want to play a fully fit Australian side?

That's exactly what he's saying Mark.

I think he means Clarke being out would strengthen the Aussie side and give England more of a challenge.

Been reading a few Australian reports on the expected Australian bowling line up for the first test.

Most seem to think Rhino will be picked :o

Hazelwood not taking any wickets in this match doing him some harm? I really cant see past Hazelwood, Starc and MJ at present. Am i missing something?

I thought Harris isn't fit for the first test?

Especially if hazelwood is standing right in front of you.
