Tom Curran is basically playing himself out of the World Cup squad.

Presume this was posted before the four wickets ? I think that and the late batting has actually cemented his spot...

Still anyone's guess which bowlers will make the final fifteen , I think.

Curran is at no 2 in the PCA rankings after Roy. I think he should have been MOM in the 2 games he has played.
This year http://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine ... pe=bowling

I guess everyone wants to be in the 15 as the team that wins the WC gets £3m!!!!!

I thought the Wood/Archer combo yesterday had potential. I think the whole ODI experience is markedly improved when there are 2 quicks steaming in and hurling down rockets at 2 batsmen who won't take a step backwards and are prepared to take them on

That has more entertainment value, for me, than a procession of batsmen thumping 82 mph deliveries to a 50m boundary.

England electing not to chase!

And no Wood/Archer.

No Denly either - can easily now see only 2 spinners being in the WC squad.

6 down with 12 overs remaining - 350 might take a bit of getting.

Woakes, possibly the best number 8 bat going, has a job to do...

Wow...go away for half an hour and all hell breaks loose...

Suddenly the cruising England batting machine is six down and in some danger of failing to bat out the fifty overs :? Nothing from Moeen , again. He is developing a habit of going in and out rather quickly - at least he isn't wasting overs :)

So I guess no 400 plus despite the great start...still fancy 350 or so unless the wickets keep falling, this does have a bit of a "dead rubber" feel about it as you'd think the squad is pretty much decided by now. They'll still want to win it to keep the habit going...but I'm not sure they've much to gain from this game...

Eight gone as Stokes falls...

Not to worry...Tom Curran into his stride quickly. But it would be a little ironic if England get bowled out after the start they had. Credit to Pakistan for fighting back but can't help thinking English carelessness is creeping in today. Suppose they might say by giving all their bats a hit they are utilizing all their resources :)

350 as predicted ...thank to Tom Curran. He's in my squad.

Finishing on 351/9 : probably left a few runs out there but that should be plenty. Record score for this ground in ODI.

Will Moeen ever score another international run?

A trio for Woakes in his first two overs.
