Steven Smith moving down to No.4. A bit disappointing. Though good to hear Bancroft is the favourite for the opener's slot.

Kiwi bowlers copping a pasting from Aaron Finch and Ryan Carters today. No wickets taken and they have shipped around 380 runs.

Nine bowlers used, but none of them was Trent Boult and Time Southee only bowled 3 overs.

Sounds like a sneaky plan from the Kiwi's, leading you to think you'll roll them over in the first test!

I'll be happy enough to sette for a trade off - if the AB's let us win (for a change), we can let the Black Caps win for a change).

Of course, after the Rugby (win), I can always chage my mind and get greedy.

Maybe it's a ploy by the hosts to blunt the Kiwi bowlers with a shirt front, and confront their batters with a greentop at Brisbane.

Tough for NZ to draw Perth, Brisbane, and the pink ball lottery at Adelaide, by the way.

Brisbane can be a great place for swing. Boult and Southee should appreciate that more than the Aussies. Perth is not the demon place that it used to be, and I think that the pink ball maybe more Kiwi-friendly than the other way (pure guesswork, of course).

Pretty much rolled out the red carpet for them.......

the Adelaide one is the most time friendly for us. I'm not sure of the times of the sessions, but I should get to watch at least one session after dinner.

Finch and Carters put on over 500 before the partnership was finally broken. I think that's the highest partnership in the history of first class cricket in Australia. Must be an absolute road.

The 12 man squad has been announced. Bancroft and Shaun Marsh miss out. Warner will open with Burns, with Khawaja at 3. The 12th man will be Peter Siddle or Josh Hazlewood.

Bancroft is a bit unlucky after that double ton, but he'll have other chances.
